Celebrating over 13 years of keeping children active in London - currently teaching over 15,000 children each week!!!

Danielle Hoctor - Director of School Services

Danielle has been passionate about sports and dance from a young age. Whilst at school, she ran numerous clubs for her peers, whilst also completing her Junior Sports Leadership award working in a range of primary schools. As well as her love of sports, she was dedicated to her development in dance, attending Sue Nieto’s Theatre School from the age of 6. Her love of dance led her to volunteer at the Barnet School’s Dance Festival from age 14, where she still continues to help with the organisation and running of the event.

While completing her Music Degree (BA Hons) at the University of York, she remained dedicated to her love of sports and dance, both playing for her University College Netball Team and participating in performances with the University of York Dance Society. Danielle had known from a young age that she loved working with children and so after finishing her degree, continued her studies at the Institute of Education (UCL) completing a Post Graduate Certificate of Primary Education and choosing PE to be her specialist subject. She graduated (with QTS), marked as outstanding in both her teaching practice and her specialism of PE.

Immediately after completing her PGCE, Danielle took on a role as a Primary School teacher, and ran the netball and dance club at her school during her NQT year. After gaining more experience teaching a range of year groups, Danielle was appointed as the PE leader at her school, responsible for designing the PE curriculum, providing CPD for staff, running clubs and overseeing the general running of the subject. Whilst taking on this role, she realised that her true passion was sport, giving her the motivation to join our Non Stop Action team. Danielle's key role at Non Stop enables her to continue her dedication to providing outstanding PE  lessons but by developing the practice of our PE staff, she can influence the engagement of thousands of  children in being physically active and participating in sports.
