Non Stop Action was established in 2006.

We are recruiting a Football Academy Manager

Non Stop Action is committed to the delivery of high quality lessons in a safe environment, developing children’s physical literacy and their life-long love of physical activity. We teach in approximately 50 primary schools across North London and South Hertfordshire. Our inclusive football academies accept players of all abilities and have a strong local reputation.

The Football Academy Manager will report to the Director of Operations and be responsible for:

  • Contributing fully to the management of the whole business
  • Overseeing both our Finchley & Mill Hill Football Academies which have 500 players 3-15 years and run every Saturday in term time
  • Line managing, developing and mentoring a team of staff working across the business
  • Developing and implementing a holistic football curriculum for all age groups
  • Leading on CPD and staff training in football across the company
  • Monitoring quality of coaching through observations and quality assurance in football
  • Customer Relationship management with all parents
  • Supporting our Director of Operations in scheduling staffing/cover and managing the day-to-day operations of the academies
  • Support the recruitment of football academy staff
  • Delivering and covering PE lessons as required

We will provide you with:

  • A competitive salary of £29-35,000 for full-time (40 hours a week)

Person specification:
Essential

  • Strong communicator, verbally and in writing
  • Qualified to a minimum UEFA C level and with minimum 3 years coaching experience
  • Minimum 2 years PE teaching experience in a school environment
  • Full driving licence and access to a car

Desirable

  • UEFA B qualification
  • 3 plus years of PE teaching in a school environment
  • Experience of PE in a primary school setting
  • Experience in managing staff
  • Experience in delivering training
  • Experience of designing and developing a curriculum
  • A relevant degree
PE Specialists in Sports, Dance or Gymnastics are required to lead high quality primary school Physical Education lessons and academy sessions.

  • Fully funded 1 st aid, safeguarding, gymnastics and other external courses as required

  • A minimum 2 hours per week is paid for preparation and personal development
  • A tablet with PE plans & assessment portal
  • Different career progression routes depending on aspirations and skills.

For lead roles, individuals

  • Must be qualified or working towards a minimum L2 UKCC or equivalent
  • Relevant degree and QTS are an advantage
  • Proven experience in coaching/teaching
  • Knowledge of the PE National Curriculum is an advantage
  • Driving licence and access to a car is an advantage
For candidates who are not at the level of skills or experience for a Lead PE Specialist role, we can offer our paid Learn to Lead training program.

Our training and development is second to none. This programme is personalised to the individual and can take from 3 months to 2 years.

We will provide you with

  • A competitive salary of £17-20,000 for full-time (37 hours a week Monday-Saturday)
  • Provide an individual training programme, through external courses, in-house training and on the job learning. Our training and development is second to none.
  • Pension scheme
  • 28 days leave increasing to 32 in second year and beyond with longer service
  • Fully funded 1st aid, safeguarding, gymnastics and other external courses as required
  • Management support via small line teams and a learning mentor
  • Access to free and subsidised Non Stop services for family members
  • Full uniform
  • A minimum 2 hours per week is paid for preparation and personal development
  • A tablet with PE plans & assessment portal
  • Part-time contracts, including term-time only where required

For learn-to-lead roles, individuals

  • Must be qualified or working towards a minimum L1 UKCC or equivalent
  • Relevant degree is an advantage
  • Proven experience in coaching/teaching including voluntary work
  • Driving licence and access to a car is an advantage
If you are looking for a more flexible role to combine with study or other part-time roles.

We are looking for Football, Multi sports & Dance coaches for school sessions (weekdays) and at our highly regarded Saturday Football and Dance Academies, in Finchley & Mill Hill.
